Josh Hawkins is a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern under the supervision of Brandy Schumann, Ph.D. He earned his Masters degree in Counseling from Southern Methodist University where he received specialty training in Play Therapy, Activity Therapy, Child Therapy, Adolescent Therapy, Group Therapy, and Marriage and Family Counseling. His work experience includes SMU’s Center for Family Counseling, The Alternative School of Dallas, and The Resource Center of Dallas. During that time he counseled with children, teens, adults, and families dealing with a variety of issues. Josh also received his Bachelors degree from Southern Methodist University.

One of the key principals that Josh believes in is creating a non-judgmental environment for people to share what is happening in their lives. Josh provides a safe environment to give children, adults, and families a place to express their emotions and grow. He adheres to helping clients through difficult times and serves as a springboard to help walk with clients into a place of positive growth.

Josh is available Monday-Friday, mornings through late evenings, and has Saturday appointments available.
